kicked off NY Fashion Week a day early showcasing 10 Elite Australian Designers from their showroom (
). From ready-to-wear to bridal wear many of these designers honestly have some unforgettable pieces.
Just when you thought the event was over, Fashion Palette had an amazing cocktail event at PHD – Dream Downtown, 355 West 16th Street NY 10011. With appetizing hors d'oeuvre, signature cocktails, and a build-yourself candy bar, they have by far kicked off and prepared me for an amazing week.
Just before my final exit, I had an opportunity to speak with one of the designers personally, Jade Rodrigues of Jatine. She is an Australian designer that was born and raised in South Africa. She initially started as an accountant, than later pursued her dream in becoming a fashion designer. Now, she is in New York showcasing her collection for the first time.
