GABRIELLE UNION & TARAJI P. HENSON RESPOND TO DELTA PRO-TRUMP PASSENGER

During a Delta flight on Nov. 22 from Atlanta to Allentown, Pa., a passenger went on an pro-Trump rant that was caught on video. The video, shot aboard a Delta flight earlier this month, shows a man in a ball cap standing in the aisle of an airplane. “We got some Hillary b—— on here?” the man shouts. “Come on, baby!” he continues. “Trump! That’s what I’m talking about. Hey, baby! Donald Trump! He’s your president, every g—— one of . If you don’t like it, too bad.” Delta Air Lines has permanently banned a man who went on a rant about Donald Trump while on board one of its planes last week. https://www.facebook.com/emma.baum.73/videos/10210862995628402/ Gabrielle Union and Taraji P. Henson took to social media to respond to the viral video of a psychotic pro-Trump supporter going off on a Pennsylvania-bound Delta Airlines flight last week. https://twitter.com/itsgabrielleu/status/802508568285052928 Flying @delta tomorrow. Pls let me know if I need to change my flt and take my business elsewhere,” tweeted Union. Henson added: “”CHANGE YOUR FLIGHT SIS I DID!!! #EffDelta,” the actress wrote, in response to Union’s tweet. She continued to use the #EffDelta hashtag throughout her tweets and retweets about the subject. “The time to do something was when he was reckless,” Henson tweeted when the idea that the passenger in question should be banned from all Delta flights moving forward. “Too late.” https://twitter.com/TherealTaraji/status/802609597814947840 Delta Chief Executive Officer, Edward Bastian said in an internal memo that the airline is also refunding the cost of tickets for other passengers on the Nov. 22 flight from Atlanta to Allentown. Bastian also said the crew questioned the man and made the best decision they could, given the information they had, and allowed him to remain on the flight. "However, if our colleagues had witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft," he wrote Monday. "He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane." In a statement, Delta said: “The behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture and follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise.”
