Swarna Kuruganti

She has been a management consultant and corporate executive for over 16 years, most recently at some of the world’s largest consumer product companies. Her past experiences were across technology and digital health. A few years back her health needs made her sensitive to toxic exposures in the environment, especially from fragrances, ingredients in skin/hair care products. She learned the hard way that government guidance and regulations were very poor for chemicals use in personal care products. It is particularly hard to find non toxic products for skin concerns or health needs. She grew restless and passionate about helping solve this problem. So she founded The Clear Scoop to apply her professional experiences to a personal passion.

In 2015, she founded the video streaming platform, ColoredContent.com, a website that primarily features web series created by black media makers. Ms. Coker wants to amplify the voices of Black people in media and believes by sharing their narratives she can empower the Black community. This year she launched the Black Web Fest, an event dedicated to celebrating Black media makers and digital content.
