Successful Black Women: Kamala Harris

Now in her second year as a U.S. senator, she’s fighting for the people of California as she did during her history-making tenure as the first African American and the first woman to be the state attorney general. With her focus on criminal justice reform, protecting immigrant rights, and expanding access to healthcare and education, we’ll have to wait and see whether a presidential run is in store in 2020 for the rising Democratic star.
