, has used her platform of celebrity to speak out on a number of social issues, including diversity in Hollywood and President Donald Trump’s Muslim ban. She worked on former first lady Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Learn initiative and founded Yara’s Club in 2015 in partnership with The Young Women’s Leadership Schools, which brings teens together digitally to discuss social justice.
